Hancock County Community Coalition

The Hancock County Community Coalition, in partnership with Hancock Resource Center, was awarded the Drug-Free Communities grant by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration in 2016. This is a ten-year grant that will allow the Coalition to combat substance use among the youth of Hancock County. From this partnership Hancock Youth for Positive Efforts (HYPE) was born. It is evident that young people have so much to offer to the world. Their ideas are both imaginative and innovative, and Hancock Youth for Positive Efforts gives them a voice while the Coalition provides a platform for community members to offer guidance.
